This great cosmos

The search for a path through life
I don't need to think of anything
in order to discover what is interesting about life.
I just need to be here as it flows into this body.

Life is everywhere all around me.
I am a fragment of that wholeness.
And even though life is divided into trillions of tiny little bits,
it is one single whole thing
which senses itself within me
and across every level of the cosmos.

As I breathe in here,
I have been invited to life.

To be here with it,
to taste the heat of its warmth,
to sense the coolness of its stillness,
to understand the way in which air is a food for me,
to listen to the sounds of the birds,
to let everything flow in as simply as possible

and for myself,
for a little while,
just think of nothing
and create an open, empty, and receptive place within me
for all of these good impressions of great glory
to flow into this body,
to let the vibration that every cell produces
in relationship with its brethren
spread throughout the body.

To be here in relation with this force
always and everywhere
to be in relationship with this force.

None of this needs my thinking in order to be complete.
The goodness is already here before I arrive in it.

And none of this is really about me or what I want,
but rather a call to wholeness in relationship
and what the earth wants
what the moon wants
what the sun wants.

For they are much greater beings than myself
and what they wish for is wiser and deeper,
and carries much more weight than anything I am able to imagine.

So as I sense life in this body with every cell
and I sense the gravity and the magnetism
that bring us all together here
I begin to understand
that I am not a creature of myself
or what I think
but a particle of this great cosmos.
