Lead into gold

Goodness is a substance that flows throughout creation.  

Indeed, without goodness,  
creation cannot take place.  

So I begin here hoping 
to align the inner parts of myself with goodness 
so that I  can better participate in creation itself.  

Goodness begins as a substance in breathing 
which flows into me moment by moment 
to keep me alive.  

And so perhaps it is possible 
to encounter its truth most immediately 
by being present to the body 
and the way it receives the air through breath.  

Perhaps it is difficult to understand 
that mercy is also a substance.
  
Yet when I breathe in 
and breathe out,  
allowing the attention to do its right work in me,  
as I come into contact with the attention and the breath,  
suddenly  
the substantial and material nature of goodness 
is no longer theoretical.  

I organically sense 
that each breath is filled with goodness 
and lays the ground 
for mercy to also be received. 

And now, 
as I experience this a little more directly,  
the molecular nature 
of my spiritual being 
begins to align a bit more.

And already,  
as the sensation of being becomes more present in the body,  
my first body of flesh and blood here 
finds itself at the threshold of contact  
with the second body,  

a body more capable of sensing feeling 
when it is prepared through attention and sensation.  

And that feeling for which I prepare here now 
is objective love,  
which does not discriminate,  
but rather 
serves  
as a cosmologically positive force of creation,
an active element whose presence 
can actually help to effect an alchemical change in being.

and this,
this intersection,
where it may become possible 
for objective love to manifest 
is the place in being 
where lead can indeed 
turn into gold.
