Wow, it's a long one this morning. Allow about 10 minutes.

Every morning I have a moment that is exclusively reserved for me to gather myself together for a few minutes and encounter life in a more intentional and intimate way. Because if I do not remember this intention to be intimate within my inner self, to be close to myself, the first thing in the morning, I'll be much less likely to remember my being later in the day. This is an opportunity for me to rediscover my value as a living, breathing creature, a human being, which is a value that is a sacred and precious thing. that cannot be taken away from me for as long as I make an effort to remember it. And that can support me throughout the day so that I come back to it in any moment that I am a bit more aware.

And in those moments when I come back, I stop.
And I remember who I am as a creature on this planet.
And I breathe.
And I sense. And I am.

And so to begin,
I draw myself together
here in the gravity of being,
which is at the same time
the same gravity that the planet generates
to hold me here,
and an even greater spiritual gravity
that binds the root of my own existence and being
to the work of the whole planet.

So that this tiny particle which I am here
suddenly sings with joy
as it remembers the way in which
It is the child of the planet.
This great mother
who brings the love of her being
to all things here on Earth.

And as every cell and molecule in my body
begins to move downwards
and align itself in response to this gravity,
I sense the way in which I am rooted in this being
by countless thousands of tiny rootlets
that reach down all the way to the cells

to feed the molecules in them
with the goodness of this sacred substance called air,
which is filled with all of the spiritual elements I need in every moment
to keep the cells healthy and alive and working together.

And the breath flows in
not just through the lungs and the rhythm of the breathing,
but through every pore throughout the skin of the body,
entering me in such a way that my sensation grows.
